The book idea was inspired specifically for the SFCA Auction Theme of “The Greatest School” with creative direction by Christine Rooney and written by Kevin Rooney. The story begins:
It was a bright sunny morning in a wide-open space,
when a traveler arrived to make home in that place.
Unpacking his things he went straight to task.
There was no one around who could help if he asked.
In the distance, creatures watched with curious stares,
as the traveler kept busy in the warm summer air.
What makes this copy extra special is the entire book has been lovingly brought to life with original artwork by the talented students of Mrs. LaBrie’s 3rd grade class! Each page is uniquely crafted, showcasing the creativity and spirit of our amazing kids. This is a one-of-a-kind treasure thoughtfully crafted between students, art teachers Alli Rogosich and Adair Smith, and parent volunteers Christine Rooney, Kevin Rooney and Terri Rose.
